A cross-section of a vast video archive containing moving representations of being Black in America (circa 1950–1980) — paired with Colbert's prowess of image layering — this collection of works presents unparalleled examples of truth. And yes, both the truth of the everyday and truth of the ever-present are represented here, as calculated narratives are presented for viewer interpretation.And the approval?If you been following the journey of PAR-Projects, you already know how big this moment. It started with a dream. It progressed to a plan. It faced a number of delays. It found a way through zoning.
